Who we are

Alliance for Progressive and Sustainable Environment is an NGO with passion to contribute significantly to environmental sustainability and development
APSE was established as an extension of social responsibility of concerned lecturers of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. It is non-political organization and has no religious affiliation. APSE strives to engage various stakeholders in community project on environmental issues owing to global and local environmental threating challenges.
As organization we seek to build environmental capacity and mobilize volunteers comprising mainly of young people with passion for the environment, and project them as agents of change for their local communities. We work and support projects on climate change, renewable energy, green technology etc.
APSE has conducted a number of activities within less than two years of her existence. The projects includes sensitization program around Awka environs, AWKA 50,000 plastic challenge, volunteerism workshops, sensitization programs in UNIZIK in partnership with other NGOs.
The team leaders have also engaged in various radio and TV programs to create public awareness on issues of environmental sustainability.
